In 1864, Ferdinand Heye founded the “Ferd. Heye, Glass Factory, Gerresheim near Düsseldorf”. He started operations with 12 employed glassblowers, laying the foundation for today’s Gerresheimer Group. In our more than 140-year history, Gerresheimer has successfully developed from being a manufacturer of glass containers for the food and beverage industry into a globally leading supplier to the pharmaceutical and life-science industries.
