Leadership and Collaboration
At the Gerresheimer Group, worldwide many thousands of colleagues are working towards a shared goal: We want to stay or become the Number One in the relevant fields of business. We can only gain clear competitive advantages and satisfy our customers with top performance. A motivated and enthusiastic team will find and utilise potential for success.
In line with our human-resources policy of “Value Added in a Culture of Appreciation”, we have introduced Management Guidelines for the behaviour of our managers and employee systems for the organisation of collaboration in teams and projects, setting a framework for performance and reward.
Decentralised responsibility - it’s in your hands
Our divisions act within their defined areas of responsibility in an independent and decentralised manner. They are responsible for the achievement of their agreed earnings targets. Everyone who bears responsibility has the tools in his or her hands that make the difference between success and failure. This creates scope for decision making, which would be inconceivable in many other companies. This motivates our colleagues.
People are the key to success
Management at Gerresheimer should by a “healthy mixture” of setting the direction, providing encouragement to the staff, measuring progress and making decisions. Good management results in improved value added and satisfaction at work, because employees and teams are supported and obstructions are removed. Value-based management is judged not only by good financial results, but in particular in terms of a convincing management style. The quality of our management work can also be measured in terms of “how” goals are achieved, that is, how the Group’s success is pushed forward and how our corporate culture is supported.
We perform tasks successfully and enjoyably in a team
At Gerresheimer, experience has shown us that teamwork leads to solutions faster, providing better answers to complex questions and thus improving the results of the work done. As a result of teamwork, our employees experience more satisfaction with their work and take on new tasks more successfully. Working actively as a member of a team creates identification with the company as well as a strong feeling of belonging. For us, that’s a good reason to promote teamwork.
