Company Profile of the Gerresheimer Group

Gerresheimer is an internationally leading manufacturer of high-quality specialty products made of glass and plastic for the global pharma and healthcare industry. Our comprehensive portfolio of products extends from pharmaceutical vials to complex drug delivery systems such as syringe systems, insulin pens and inhalers for safe dosage and application of medication. Together with our partners, we develop standard setting solutions which have role model status in their respective market sectors. Our group has 47 production plants which are located in Europe, North and South America and Asia. It realizes sales of around one billion Euros and has more than 10,000 employees. We use first-rate technology, convincing innovations and targeted investments to systematically consolidate our strong market position.

Gerresheimer achieved a considerable increase in revenues in the financial year of 2011 (December 1, 2010 to November 30, 2011). Revenues grew by 6.8% to EUR 1,094.7m.

The origins of our Group go back to 1864 when the glass factory was founded by Ferdinand Heye in the suburb of Gerresheim in Düsseldorf. During the last two decades we developed to become a highly-specialized supplier, primarily for the pharma and healthcare industry, which we are today. We reached this with the help of targeted acquisitions and intensive development and refinement of know-how and latest technologies.

Gerresheimer is listed at the German stock exchange since 2007 and is ranked as an MDax company. Market capitalization is approximately EUR 1bn. According to the criteria of Deutsche Börse the free float currently amounts to 100%.

Gerresheimer consists out of four divisions Tubular Glass, Moulded Glass, Plastic Systems and Life Science Research.

Tubular Glass
The Tubular Glass Division produces high-quality tubular glass products and as a vertically integrated supplier converted into primary packaging such as ampoules, cartridges, vials or syringe systems in a subsequent step.

Plastic Systems
In the business unit of Medical Plastic Systems, the Plastic Systems Division produces complex customer-specific plastic systems for pharmaceutics, diagnostics and medical technology. The second business unit of Plastic Packaging mainly produces plastic containers that are used as primary packaging for pharmaceutics and the healthcare industry.

Moulded Glass
The Moulded Glass Division produces container glass as primary packaging in a continuous process. The manufactured products are used for pharmaceutics, cosmetic products and specialty beverages and foods.

Life Science Research
The product range of the Life Science Research Division contains laboratory glassware for research, development and analytics.
