'Best Foundation Award' for TRUBlend by Procter & Gamble Clean comes in a new look

 

TRUBlend Liquid Make-up by Covergirl received the 'Best Foundation Award' from the American Cheerleader Magazine for its perfectly natural appearance. The product's character is evident before it is even applied to the skin because it is emphasized by the glass packaging. At Cosmopack in Bologna, Gerresheimer is putting the spotlight on current make-up design for Covergirl (April 15-18, 2010, pavilion 19, stand C41/D42).

This packaging reflects the fine art of design through being deliberately uncluttered with details. "It works according to the same principle as a good quality foundation," said Burkhard Lingenberg, Director Corporate Communications and Marketing at the Gerresheimer Group. "It isn't the means to an end that is important, but the overall perfection."

The TRUBlend bottle has an oval basic shape with smooth vertical lines which create a distinctively simple silhouette. These are shapes which can communicate sobriety - though not necessarily. In this case, a tiny step on the shoulder erases the severity of the bottle's column shape. A barely perceptible yet important relaxing feature, this millimeter-sized displacement marks the transition to the slightly narrower cap. The cap is held in place with an externally invisible glass lip. It is made of transparent plastic, partially with a matt finish, which allows the pale grey of the dispenser to shimmer through. The brand name in silver and the product name in deep ocean blue complete the bottle's superior appearance.

Natural green and brown adorn the Clean bottle which has just been given a brand new make-over. This make-up range under the silver Covergirl label is committed to clean lines - with exiting modifications that add unique appeal. The bottle has a wide, oval base and tapers towards the top, so the cross section gradually changes from oval to circular. A shiny chromium-colored closure continues the same line, ending abruptly with a flat surface. The result is perfect visual balance. Between the thick, heavy bottle base and the glossy closure is the perfect framework for the beautiful and consistent presentation of this enchanting make-up.
