Inflaming colors
Transparent sprayed glass with zappy accentuation
Latin Fever really hots things up. A distinctive shape and glowing shades of red add irresistible energy to this young perfume duo by Mäurer & Wirtz, the Extase woman and man fragrances. Visitors to Cosmopack in Bologna will soon be able to warm to the sophistication of this brand new bottle design at the Gerresheimer stand (April 15-18, 2010, pavilion 19, stand C41/D42).
Straight shoulders, slightly convex sides on a flat, elliptical basic design, plus cylindrical caps that are as smooth as glass - a cool material hotted up in appearance by the designers. "Our designers didn't create this effect with finishing techniques alone," commented Burkhard Lingenberg, Director Corporate Communication and Marketing at the Gerresheimer Group. "It also reflects their enthusiasm and sure instincts."
Bold colors are the main feature. The original transparent glass has been completely sprayed with transparent tints. The woman bottle is an incandescent reddish purple with a fruity pink cap for additional kick. The masculine counterpart achieves the same effect with yellow-tinged shades of red: deep rust red for the bottle and a zesty orange cap.
Another effervescent feature on the glowing colored glass is the delicate printed lettering in an exotic typeface. The name Extase Latin Fever in pale grey on purple and citrus yellow on rust red provides perfectly coordinated contrasts. It is positioned just below the shoulder and is slightly left aligned. This gives the otherwise symmetrical front a far more exciting appearance.
Another small detail with big effect is the wedge-shaped indent on the back of the bottle which is wider at the base and tapers at the top. When sunlight hits the bottles, a cacophony of colors illuminate with fascinating effects, transforming the bottles into blazing fires.
