Complex component assemblies with integrated functions often require several assembly stages downstream from the injection molding process. Over the past decades, Gerresheimer Medical Plastic Systems has delivered a wide variety of component assemblies and systems
to upmarket customers from the pharmaceutical, medical and laboratory technology segment. We designed thousands of product-specific joining and assembly processes and carried out billions of assembly processes reliably and quickly. End-to-end documentation of assembly processes ensures comprehensive batch tracking.
Tapping into this long-standing experience, we offer a full service strategy that provides the assembly-oriented construction of individual parts as well as the certified product safety of the entire component assembly - comprehensive assembly expertise from a single source. We provide product-specific joining and assembly technologies from ultrasound and vibration welding of different polymer grades right through to adhesive joining and mechanical press-fit processes.
Technicians, engineers, mold making and automation specialists working in our Technical CompetenceCenters ensure the strictest safety of every assembled product. They monitor the assembly-oriented design of all individual parts, the process-safety of all assembly lines, the repeatable component joining processes and the user-friendly operation of finished systems.
Medical and medical technology systems have to meet particularly stringent quality requirements and demand careful system assembly. If required, we will carry out all assembly stages in controlled areas or clean-rooms depending on the clean-room or quality requirements of the product in hand. In order to achieve this, we follow product-specific strategies. Depending on the batch size, product and quality requirements we select productive, individual and fully automated assembly lines, deploy semi-automated lines or finish the product manually. Our customers benefit from the best and most efficient solution for each product and production condition.
Gerresheimer's Medical Plastic Systems' production facilities in Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, China and the USA operate a total of 45 fully-automatic assembly lines.
As you would expect, we also decorate, label, number, tag, inspect and pack the assembled systems. As a Full Service Supplier we also take care of customer-specific packing or turnkey and point-of-sale products.

Gerresheimer's Medical Plastic Systems Division provides all services from one single source including optimum packaging solutions that meet all requirements in terms of product protection, storage and transport.
Blister packs, plastic bag or collapsible box, sterile or conventional, single pack, hospital pack, multipack, point-of-sale or transport container we meet all customer packaging requirements.
Similar to production and assembly, Gerresheimer Medical Plastic Systems offers clean-room packaging if required. We operate fully automatic packaging lines, that can be adapted to suit the specific product.
