Astonishing new effects provide impetus for both the prestige and the mass market

Shapes from the purist to the dreamlike, weightless transparency beside the radiance of every color of the rainbow plus delightfully matched finishes and tailor-made accessories: at Beautyworld Middle East in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Gerresheimer highlights a wide variety of current trends in glass design for perfumery and cosmetics. The display stages prominent markers for the prestige market as well as highlights from the aspirational mass market (June 7-9, 2009 in the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center, Booth 5B27).

Gerresheimer ranks without doubt among the most versatile and experienced packaging partners for the perfumery and cosmetics industry worldwide. Not only with glass but now also with plastic the Group is today able to cover practically all requirement fields to a high standard  in addition to glass flacons and pots for fine fragrances, deodorants, creams, etc., the product range offers flexible bottles and vials for shampoos, shower gels and sun cream for example. In Dubai, of course, glass sparkles exclusively in the limelight: by its very nature full of glamour and at the same time an ideal ‘strong room‘ for volatile fragrance extracts and sensitive cosmetic ingredients, says Burkhard Lingenberg, Director of Marketing and Communication for the Gerresheimer Group.

With specialized production plants in Europe, America and China the Group, which is otherwise predominantly Esprit Connect, Cotyoriented towards pharmaceutics and life science, offers the markets of beauty and personal care a seamless repertory. Depending on the customer's wishes it may start in the creative development phase and range from individual mould construction to feeder coloring or color spraying, from artistic Absolue Nuit und Hydra Zen Neurocalm, Lancômerelief effects or acid etching right through to full-surface decoration by the sublimation technique and filigree-fine printing. So there is plenty of latitude for beguiling new ideas and high-flying fantasies such as those lined up in the current collection for inspection in Dubai. Glass objects glitter as if made of pure gold, glow in opulent colors like a thousand and one nights, heavy black seems to float, white-misted globe shapes create the illusion of a dance visitors to Gerresheimer can look forward to astonishing effects and great new ideas.
