CPhI China in Shanghai: Gerresheimer is well positioned in the Asian market

Düsseldorf, June 17, 2011 – At this year’s CPhI China in Shanghai, Gerresheimer will be presenting its comprehensive range of innovative primary packaging products for the pharma & healthcare industry (Stand W3E58). As a result of extending its high quality glass packaging production operations, the group is now one of the leading manufacturers of glass pharmaceutical vials, ampoules and cartridges in Asia.

The Chinese subsidiary, Gerresheimer Shuangfeng, now has three different plants in China. The most recent one, the state-of-the-art plant in Danyang, opened two years ago and has ample reserves for extension. The broad spectrum of locally manufactured products that satisfy all internationally recognized quality standards will be on show at the CPhI China in the Shanghai New International Expo between June 21 and 23. The trade fair will attract pharmaceutical experts in the international pharma & healthcare industry from all over Asia.

The comprehensive range of products which will be exhibited at CPhI China includes pharmaceutical packaging products made of transparent and brown tubular glass. In addition to cartridges for drug delivery systems such as the ones used in modern dental medicine, the exhibits also include ampoules. Gerresheimer is a leading supplier of these ampoules in China. Pharmaceutical vials and a wide assortment of syringe systems will also be on display.
