Duma® OneLiner™ - One Closure for USA and Europe
Düsseldorf, October 25, 2011 - Tablet manufacturers supplying both European and US markets no longer need to adjust their filling processes to take account of different packaging systems: under the Duma® brand name, Gerresheimer has developed OneLinerTM a twist-off closure, which also includes the foil seal required for the container in the USA. Whether with an integrated seal or without: externally the containers are completely identical.
The optional US seal is hidden away inside the twist-off closure. As the closure is closed the seal presses against the rim of the filled container and with the closure closed it is finally fixed in place by means of induction. When the closure is opened again the foil divides into two layers: its aluminum layer stays firmly in place on the container as a seal while the remaining part of the liner stays in the closure.
The OneLinerTM fits for all 38 mm containers in the Duma® Twist-Off and Duma® Twist-Off Q product lines and naturally meets all the relevant pharmaceutical requirements. Top quality is guaranteed by the international competence center of Gerresheimer Plastic Packaging in Vaerloese (Denmark): the innovative concept was also developed here.
