Gerresheimer is an approved supplier of cartridges for various pharmaceutical applications with fill volumes ranging from 1.0 to 10.0ml (some sizes on request). Our cartridges for dental applications are made of flint or amber borosilicate glass of type I.
In cooperation with our customers we develop individual solutions to complete the range. These include, for example, optional finishing such as ammonium sulfate treatment to improve the glass quality or rather surface resistance of the cartridges or decoration techniques such as ceramic printing with heavy metal-free inks. Furthermore customized designs or special quality requirements can be implemented as well.
To ensure that customer quality requirements are met, the production takes place in a clean room environment where all of our cartridge lines are equipped with visual inspection systems for 100% dimensional control. Our most modern lines also use visual inspection systems to check for cosmetic defects and line-scan cameras to control the glazed end. The final packaging of the cartridges is performed under controlled environmental conditions. Different packaging solutions and customized solutions are available on request. We use state-of-the-art technologies and we make sure that our quality standards are complied with. Equally continuous process improvements are really important for us.
The structure of our several production plants in Europe, America and Asia helps us to mitigate risk regarding our supply capacities. Furthermore all of our plants rigorously apply current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001, 13485 and/or 15378. Our cartridges comply with Pharm. Eur., USP and JP and fulfill the requirements for glass primary packaging material.
