Gerresheimer Essen welcomes its new apprentices
Düsseldorf/Essen, August 14, 2019. General Manager of Gerresheimer Essen GmbH, Dr. Jürgen Unruh, warmly greets six new apprentices. Glass containers for medications, cosmetics and spirits are manufactured for well-known brands in the glassworks that goes back almost 300 years.
“We need apprentices who will be successful from the get-go in our teams and who are happy to be with us. Ultimately we train them so that they stay with us afterwards too and have a future here,” says Dr. Jürgen Unruh at the beginning of his welcome talk for the new apprentices.
Now the new apprentices explain what they like about their new vocational training course.
Fabian Meyer:
“Working with machines and the technology behind them fascinates me,” says Fabian Meyer, while his future apprentice colleague Ismael Jose nods in agreement. As industrial engineers, they will both learn – during their training – how machines and production lines are built and function. They will also provide support if the production lines need to be modified. In addition, they will build machines or entire production lines, install and connect them, and finally put them into operation
