Oral Liquid Glass Packaging Solutions

Glass - The ideal choice for oral liquid drugs

In a market where trust and quality are paramount, moulded glass packaging for oral liquids is the clear choice. Its superior protection, durability, and classic aesthetic make it a reliable solution for your product. We offer a broad range of flint and amber standard options, but are also a preferred partner for the development of customized oral liquid glass packaging solutions

Why choosing glass for oral liquid drug packaging

Parenteral solutions - which are administered by injection or infusion - require a very high standard of packaging to ensure the sterility, stability, and safety of the drug. Glass is the most widely used material for this purpose due to its inertness, barrier properties, and thermal resistance. For light-sensitive drugs, our amber-colored moulded glass containers provide critical UV protection, ensuring the drug’s stability and potency throughout its shelf life. We also offer internal surface treatments, such as siliconization. Siliconization minimizes the interactions between the drug and the container. It provides enhanced hydrophobic properties, ensuring a high restitution rate down to the last drop of the product.

The right glass packaging for every purpose

Oral liquid drugs include a wide variety of medications that are taken by mouth. They are often used for patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets or capsules, such as children and the elderly.

We offer oral liquid glass packaging mainly in type III glass in flint and amber colour, but also in type II.

Glass packaging for Solutions: The drug is completely dissolved in a liquid, like an oral rehydration solution.

Glass packaging for Syrups: A concentrated sugar solution with the drug dissolved in it, often used for cough and cold medicines.

Glass packaging for Suspensions: The drug is finely dispersed but not dissolved in a liquid, such as some antibiotics or antacids.

Glass packaging for Emulsions: A mixture of two liquids that don't mix, like an oil-in-water preparation.
