Gx InMonit – Guiding patients through the injection process
Gx InMonit is a reusable smart add-on designed to be mounted on top of an autoinjector such as the Gx Inbeneo platform device. It features a large, high-contrast, easy-to-read AMOLED display and audible signals that guide the patient step-by-step through injection preparation, initiation, progress, and confirmation of completion. Real-time detection of injection start, stop, premature removal or potential injection failure using motion sensors helps patients to conduct injections correctly and in alignment with their prescribed care plan. Gx InMonit also incorporates temperature monitoring and verification of the device, drug and dose by scanning a near-field communication (NFC) tag under the label of the autoinjector. The device accurately captures data at the point of self-administration and automatically transmits it via a cellular connection to the cloud. Gx InMonit requires no additional user actions such as pairing, installing an app, or manually uploading data.
Gx AdheraLink – Patient support before and after the injection
Patient support can be further enhanced through connection to Gx AdheraLink which uses AI for personalized, smart and immediate patient interaction on their preferred instant messaging application, such as WhatsApp or iMessage. User friction is reduced, as there is no need to install a new app, learn a new interface or navigate additional accounts. Gx AdheraLink is customized for a specific drug and therapy in order to provide accurate, trustworthy information to patients. Before a scheduled injection, the system can send timely reminders and nudges, which helps patients to mentally prepare for the upcoming injection and may, in turn, reduce anxiety and strengthen routine formation. Gx AdheraLink follows up with positive reinforcement in the form of encouraging messages. It also allows patients to share information about the injection experience, injection location, pain level, and overall experience which can be shared with a care team.
Unified ecosystem for a tailored approach for each patient
Together, Gx InMonit and Gx AdheraLink form a unified ecosystem designed to improve patient engagement and support therapy outcomes. Pharmaceutical companies gain real-world adherence data from Gx InMonit, which can be augmented with patient-reported feedback through Gx AdheraLink. Each interaction generates behavioural signals that feedback into the solution, allowing different nudging and engagement strategies to be evaluated.
