Gerresheimer presents a comprehensive portfolio of glass packaging solutions for food, natural cosmetics, and nutraceuticals at BIOFACH 2026.
  • Broad portfolio for food, natural cosmetics, and nutraceuticals

  • Reduction of carbon footprint through use of recycled glass and lightweight glass designs

Duesseldorf/Nuremberg, February 9, 2026. Gerresheimer, an innovative system and solution provider and a global partner for the pharma, biotech, cosmetics, food and beverage industries, will present its latest glass packaging solutions for organic food and natural cosmetics at BIOFACH 2026 from February 10 to 13, 2026. The focus will be on sustainable solutions that protect organic products safely while meeting brand identity and design requirements. For example, Gerresheimer offers glass packaging with a high proportion of post-consumer recycled glass, lightweight glass designs, and refillable packaging. Gerresheimer therefore supports food, beverage, and cosmetics companies in reducing the carbon footprint of their products. Gerresheimer will showcase its portfolio of sustainable flint and amber glass packaging in Hall 7 at Booth 7-152.

"We see the organic and natural food industry as an important driver for sustainable packaging solutions. Glass stands for value, transparency, and genuine circularity like no other material," says Jürgen Grasel, Senior Director Sales Food & Beverage at Gerresheimer Moulded Glass GmbH. "At BIOFACH, we want to show how we support companies in consistently implementing their sustainability goals."

Glass packaging combines aesthetics, product safety and sustainability
At BIOFACH, Gerresheimer showcases how modern design and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. Glass offers an elegant, transparent aesthetic and underscores the premium image of any brand. Glass is inert and reliably protects the contents from external influences and chemical reactions. This is a significant advantage for maintaining the purity of organic products. In addition, glass is infinitely recyclable and reusable multiple times.

Broad portfolio for food, beverages, cosmetics, and nutraceuticals
Gerresheimer specializes in the production of high-quality flint and amber glass packaging and offers a wide range of packaging solutions for organic and natural products. Whether for high-quality oils, functional beverages, nourishing natural cosmetics, or effective nutraceuticals, Gerresheimer's broad portfolio of standard solutions enables companies to enter the market quickly and efficiently or to switch easily to a new, sustainable glass packaging alternative. Gerresheimer is your partner for customized packaging solutions, from concept development and design to manufacturing and finishing.

Decarbonization in glass production
Sustainability is an important pillar of Gerresheimer's corporate strategy. The company has set itself ambitious targets and had them validated by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). The company aims to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 52% by 2030. Key levers in glass production are the use of cullets to save energy, the switch to modern melting technologies, and the use of renewable energies.

Gerresheimer will be showcasing its solutions at BIOFACH 2026 in Nuremberg in Hall 7, Booth 7-152.
