Girls Day 2016

Many of Gerresheimer’s plants are taking part in this year’s Girls’ Day

Düsseldorf, April 8, 2016.  Girls’ Day, the annual event when girls who are interested in technical occupations get the opportunity to find out more about them, takes place this year on April 28. Gerresheimer’s plants in Bünde, Essen, Lohr, Wackersdorf and Wertheim will all be taking part this year. 37 percent of girls who attend the event can see themselves either working, doing an apprenticeship or an internship at one of the companies they visited on Girls’ Day.

“We’re convinced that there are plenty of young women out there who could easily complete a technical vocational training program,” said Thomas Perlitz, the Gerresheimer Group’s HR Director. “That’s why our German plants regularly get involved in Girls’ Day.”

Young apprentices at Gerresheimer are assigned to diverse and interesting tasks, they enjoy scope for personal development and work in an international environment. Their satisfaction with their programs is reflected in the fact that almost 100% of them accept jobs at Gerresheimer when they complete their program.
