Bünde, July 22, 2014 – Normally, the 800 employees at Gerresheimer are the people contributing to consumer health with the syringes and cartridges they manufacture. On July 3 and 4, the focus was shifted to the health of the personnel at the plant.
One of the main themes of the day was ‘back health‘. In addition to information about how to look after their backs and a mobility test, a physiotherapist was on site to provide the employees with individual computer-aided spine measurements. “It’s great,“ said one delighted employee. “Now I know exactly how to take care of my back.“
“We’ve discovered at our Health Days events that back health is an important issue for our employees,“ said HR Manager Olaf Grädler, adding, “We’ve been making efforts to promote employee health awareness in recent years, and to structure their workplaces so that they have a positive rather than detrimental effect on health.“
“Our long-term focus on cooperation has been very successful because it helps us to coordinate our activities so that we can achieve the best results for our employees,“ said Roswita Dieckhöner, Occupational Health Management Consultant. The project is supported by the plant’s cooperation partner, the AOK NordWest health insurance provider.
