Düsseldorf, 2/1/2016 – Gerresheimer has been named one of the “Great National Employers” again by Focus Magazine. The Focus Magazine’s representative survey is based on around 70,000 evaluations of employees of all ages and at all hierarchical levels on the XING network plus employer ratings on kununu. It was conducted by the Statista market research institute.
“We’re delighted to have been named a “Great National Employers“ once again. Our organization is very committed to a positive and motivating workplace culture, and we support the individual development of every single employee. One of the things that makes us special is that we’re passionate about what we do. This award is confirmation to us that we are going in the right direction,” said Thomas Perlitz, Global Senior Vice President Human Resources at Gerresheimer in Düsseldorf.
The Focus survey asks respondents to rate criteria such as satisfaction with the workplace, company management practices and working hours. These criteria are also crucial to the design of Gerresheimer’s workplace policies. For example, Gerresheimer has responded to demographic changes in recent years by gradually adapting older employees’ workplaces and introducing a company-wide health management policy. Stress management courses, back gymnastics, company sports, and advice on nutrition and ergonomic workplace design are just some of the things that Gerresheimer has already successfully implemented. Many employees are now enjoying better physical and psychological health as a result, which promotes their loyalty to our organization. In fact, the average length of service is currently 11.3 years.
Other factors such as diversity and young talent promotion are also important at Gerresheimer. For many years now the company has been continuously optimizing its apprenticeship and graduate programs. Both commercial and technical apprentices enjoy practice-oriented training programs that ideally set them up for their future careers. The 100% pass rate for Gerresheimer apprentices, who regularly receive Chamber of Industry and Commerce awards, demonstrates the value of this training concept. For example, Nikolai Löscher, who completed his apprenticeship as an industrial process electrician last year, won an award for gaining the highest examination grade of all apprentices in the Main-Spessart region.
Being an international group of companies with 24/7 production operations, Gerresheimer offers a broad spectrum of challenging careers with diverse perspectives.
