Senior Director, Innovation and Product Management

Job Description

The Senior Director, Innovation and Product Management is responsible for creating and executing a tubular glass product development strategy that provides the Company with goods and services necessary to meet and exceed customer expectations.  The Senior Director, Innovation and Product Management will lead all research and development efforts; including discovery, product development, feasibility analysis, regulatory approvals, and product launch for tubular glass products.  The Senior Director, Innovation and Product Management will also provide the insight regarding strategic alliances in order to bring key acquisitions and introductions to the tubular glass product portfolio.  The Senior Director, Innovation and Product Management performs assessments of target markets, industry trends, and competitive products.  The Senior Director, Innovation and Product Management maintains close awareness of scientific literature, raw materials technology, processing methodology, and marketing trends required to introduce innovative goods and services.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in either Business or Engineering or Life Sciences preferred.
  • Notable accomplishments in either the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industries within the area of Innovation and Product Management.
  • Substantial experience in Product Development Life Cycle Management within either the Life Sciences or Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industries.        
  • Detailed knowledge of market-leading research and development management tools to improve product portfolio offerings that demonstrate consumer insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to hear the Voice of the Customer and align feedback with company initiatives and goals.
  • Displayed proficiency in navigating ambiguous environments, developing existing and new markets, and achieving revenue targets.

Additional Information

  • Establishes a tubular glass product development roadmap, for all existing and future pharmaceutical packaging solutions, that aligns the tubular glass product portfolio with the business strategy.   
  • Drives front-end innovation through internal processes and systems, as well as the creation of external partnerships, to continually expand the total offering of goods and services.
  • Leads innovation and product management team to attain market leadership and bring about a sustainable competitive advantage.  
  • Develops, implements, and monitors effective product development methodologies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Creates key performance indicators for new and existing tubular glass products and services, and measures performance against those metrics, identifying prospects for growth.    
  • Develops and oversees short-term and long-range annual operating plans and capital budgets for product technology investments across the organization.
  • Develops and maintains internal and external relationships by providing market information, product guidance, and customer support related to the product portfolio offering.
  • Identifies market opportunities and devises product strategies to enhance market share growth, sales volume, competitive pricing, and profitability.       
  • Facilitates the utilization of internal and external resources to introduce meaningful concepts and value added solutions to existing and future customers.  
  • Conducts innovation and product management reviews in order to align Company business goals and maximize value creation proposition.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

 

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally no less than 25% per month.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plans.   
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply the Gerresheimer Management System.
  • Capable of autonomous work in professional business environments.
