Job Description
As a Senior Key Account Manager (m/f/d) are you mainly responsible for double-digit high profitable growth and the primary face to the international customers pulling in the appropriate resources to meet sales and company objectives by promoting our Gx syringes product portfolio located in 3 regions and produced in 6 dedicated plants. You closely interact with colleagues and management on all levels and cross BUs to achieve our ambitions targets.
Reporting to the Global Head of Syringes the Senior Key Account Manager (m/f/d) will serve as the lead point of contact as the strategic lead for all sales and marketing activities. You will expand Gerresheimer’s business opportunities, communicate our value proposition and achieve sales goals and targets by bringing high-level knowledge, insights, relationships, and strategies to the position.
Key responsibilities:
- Growing turnover in existing plants and greenfields worldwide according to OPSP plans
- Responsible for double-digit growth profit within the area of responsibility
- Management and development assigned accounts strategically and long term
- Generate new business opportunities (new customers, new products) for solid future growth within the primary packaging
- Cooperation with Key Account Management, Across Division Management, initiating cooperation with Key Accounts within internal organization
- Responsible for achieving objectives, KPIs, and targets at assigned key customers
- Leveraging expertise and knowledge of the marketplace, applicable competitors, industry and cross-functional activities / plans to anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and risks
- Driving excellence and attain buy-in from both internal and external customers
- Building a deep understanding of the customer needs and responds in a way that creates trust, credibility and respec
- Development and maintenance strong relationships with team and key stakeholders
- Navigating the external environment, identify business opportunities, allocation of resources and monitoring of the implementation and performance
- Promoting Gerresheimer’ s Gx Syringes and Solutions portfolio, new developments, performance, and competencies
- Development of new customers in a manner that will achieve short and long-term profitable growth for the account
- Managing the fiscal year budget preparation process
- Setting up customer site-visitation / audits, attending and supporting appropriate conferences, exhibitions and trade shows
Qualifications
Your profile:
- At least 10 years of experience in the primary packaging industry as international acting Key Account Manager
- At least Bachelor’s degree in Business and / or Engineering or Life Sciences
- Well-organized, highly motivated and good business acumen required
- Fluent English and German language skills required, other languages of advantage
- Demonstrated strong leadership, influence and critical thinking
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to present to all levels and audiences
- Ability to effectively and accurately deliver results in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Good skills in SAP, MS Office, especially Excel, CRM knowledge
- Ability to travel up to 50%; includes domestic and international travel
