Cost Accountant

COAHUILA 9, Mexico | QUERETARO | Full-time

Job Description

  • Collect cost information and maintain an expense database
  • Build data accumulation systems.
  • Determine fixed costs (e.g., salaries, rent, and insurance) P
  • lan and record variable costs (e.g., raw material purchases and operating costs)
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  • Prepare budget reports (for the company and for each department).
  • Analyze and report profit margins Prepare cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual) Assist with month-end and year-end closing Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a cost accountant, cost analyst, bookkeeper or similar position Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with accounting software Computer skills, MS Excel in particular
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with accounting software Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills Integrity, with ability to handle confidential information.
  • Advanced English
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study.
