Plant Director (m/f/d)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager (m/f/d) to maximize the plant’s operational and financial performance while driving for quality in all processes.

  • Collaborate with the Management Board in managing the legal entity
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through on-time deliveries, transparent and timely communication and fulfilling customer needs
  • Drive systematic improvement of the production processes to increases process stability, labor productivity and equipment efficiency
  • Drive the implementation of a performance-oriented maintenance strategy for production equipment and infrastructure
  • Develop effective but lean structures of indirect plant functions
  • Systematically develop the qualification of the plant’s direct and indirect staff
  • Support the development of the plant’s quality system to ensure effective quality control and feedback of quality information into production to allow process improvement
  • Drive the implementation of the Gerresheimer Management System (GMS)
  • Manage the plants networking capital position
  • Maintain and develop the plant’s fixed asset base (production equipment, infrastructure)
  • Manage an effective health, safety and environment system
  • Manage labor relations in alignment with Plastic Packaging
  • Prepare the annual budget and strategic plan (OPSP), implement corresponding actions and report progress and plant performance monthly


  • University degree in business or engineering
  • Experience in leadership positions in manufacturing industries, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry, including relevant budget / P&L responsibility
  • In-depth understanding of production and maintenance management, good understanding of commercial functions
  • Proven track record of plant performance improvement (esp. production)
  • Experience in working in an international business environment and collaborating with sites and functions abroad
  • Writing and speaking fluently in polish is mandatory
  • Fluency in English, German skills are advantageous
  • Complexe decision-making, effective communication and hands-on mentality
  • Organizational skills and high sense of responsibility
  • Intrinsic motivation and stress resistance
