Job Description
The Mold Maintenance Tech is primarily responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of injection Molds. This position supports continuous improvement activities. The Mold Maintenance Tech is primarily responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of injection Molds. This position supports continuous improvement activities.
- Carry out tool repairs independently based on the tool complaints according to the specifications
- Disassembly and assembly of injection molding tools
- Carry out the necessary manual work on the workbench (e.g. spotting, measuring, etc.)
- Registration of dimensional changes in drawings
- Check tools and components for wear, replace defective and worn parts, and also rework tools and molds if necessary
- Test repaired tools and molds as specified
- Inspect machines and systems according to maintenance plans, diagnose malfunctions if necessary, replace wear parts and operating materials
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a shop environment.
- Good knowledge of maintenance and repair of injection molding tools
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Attention to detail
- Work according to drawing (CAD)
- Knowledge of machine and system operation
- Good knowledge of common machining methods (eroding, grinding, etc.)
