Quality Control Associate

Job Description

  • Perform complex measurements and operate testing/measuring equipment (Vision System/OGP).
  • Read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Execute in-process control as needed.
  • Generate work instructions, visual aid, and reports.
  • Review/check samples in process to ensure that parts meet specifications at any point in the production process.
  • Records information on his findings during a quality inspection, this can include measurements, test results, and visual defects.
  • Complete visual inspections to ensure that products meet specifications in terms of dimension, color, and physical appearance. A visual inspection can look for cosmetic defects that do not affect the function of the product.
  • If a manufactured product does not meet the quality specifications, the QC associate investigates and reports production failures.
  • Maintains all device history records and insures all manufacturing forms and test data are in order.
  • Input quality data into quality databases

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to understand data and collate as defined
  • Able to interpret actual results and compare objectives to decide pass/fail
  • Good time management skills required
  • Quality Control positions require technical skills such as statistical knowledge, computer skills, and writing skills
  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to interface constructively and cooperatively with a wide variety of departmental staff and intra-department personnel
  • Experienced knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice within the Medical or Food industry
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, able to work well in a team environment, good organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal communication skills
  • Required to speak, read, and write English
