Open Day at Gerresheimer Regensburg

Training Day on July 16, 2011 at the Technical Competence Center in Wackersdorf

Regensburg, July 2011 - On July 16, 2011 Gerresheimer Regensburg will be offering schoolchildren the opportunity to obtain information about the company’s apprenticeship programs. Anyone who is interested can come along to the Technical Competence Center in Wackersdorf between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Gerresheimer Regensburg’s Training Day this year is another great opportunity for schoolchildren who are interested in an apprenticeship in plastics and rubber process engineering or one of the other vocational training programs that the company offers to obtain a wide range of information. It’s an informal information event geared to schoolchildren who are just interested in information or who are specifically looking for an apprenticeship position in 2012. Parents and friends are also very welcome to come along.

Information stands will be set up for every apprenticeship occupation. There will be people at the stands to provide information about the apprenticeship programs and the requirements that potential applicants have to meet throughout the day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Wackersdorf Technical Competence Center will also be open so that visitors can take a look around it, have the opportunity to talk to trainees and trainers, and try out some of the plastic processing activities themselves. The official opening and company presentation at 11 a.m. will be followed at 11.30 a.m. by a presentation of the company’s apprenticeships and sandwich degree courses by the company’s apprentices and students. The presentation will be repeated for visitors who arrive later at 2 p.m. At 1 p.m., Carmen Kullmann, who is responsible for the company’s apprenticeship schemes, will be explaining the applicant selection process at Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH.

With a little luck, the Training Day visitors won’t just be taking valuable information home with them, but also a fabulous prize because there’s going to be a prize draw with prizes such as two FC Bayern home match tickets, including bus trip, a digital camera and an MP3 player. The prizes also include a first 'career opportunity’ and several ’taster’ internships.
