Successful promotion of young talent at Gerresheimer

Düsseldorf, June 4, 2020 Since the IPO of Gerresheimer AG in 2007, the Gerresheimer Group has trained more than 2,500 young people in over 20 professions in Germany. The strength of Gerresheimer's production plants lies in training young people from its own ranks and turning them into skilled workers who will remain with the Company for a long time. Since 2010 the dual study program for the promotion of young talent at Gerresheimer has also been part of this. And since 2017 the Gx Go! trainee program has been available for graduates.

"We provide training because we need employees who know the company inside out and are also well networked in the Gerresheimer Group," says Alexander Eckert, Global Senior Vice President Human Resources at Gerresheimer. In Germany the company provides training at a total of five locations. Some plants in Europe and America have adopted the model in order to be able to recruit urgently needed specialists from within their own ranks. Through their work they contribute to ensuring that for example the high-quality primary packaging for the pharma and cosmetics industry is produced and delivered in the quality required by the customers. This also applies to the medical technology delivery systems which Gerresheimer develops and manufactures for well-known pharma customers.
