Training Day at Gerresheimer Regensburg

The Technical Competence Center in Wackersdorf opens its doors for pupils

Regensburg, March 6, 2014 – For the fourth time in succession, Gerresheimer Regensburg will open its doors for the company’s annual Training Day on 17 March, 2014. Anyone interested is invited to find out information on training and apprenticeship opportunities at the company. On that day, visitors are invited for talks with company apprentices and offered a guided tour of the corporate training center and the mold engineering facility.

Gerresheimer Regensburg’s Training Day 2014 is the fourth event of its kind. “In the previous years, the event attracted such a high amount of visitors that we decided to repeat it in 2014. Again, we will provide pupils with an opportunity to find out more about Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH as a company that offers apprenticeships“, Axel Süß, Head of Human Resources Germany explains. Gerresheimer Regensburg offers apprentice options as process technicians for polymer and rubber engineering, mold engineers, mechatronic engineers, electronic technicians and combined training and degree program for mechatronic.

Following the welcoming speech of Axel Süss, Gerresheimer training specialist Carmen Kullmann and a group of apprentices will present all available apprenticed professions and the combined training and degree program. A tour of the training center will provide visitors with first impressions and opportunities for testing their plastics processing skills hands on. Apprentices currently in training with Gerresheimer Regensburg will add their practical experiences and will present their profession at separate information booths. Visitors are invited to approach the apprentices with any questions they may have on practical aspects of the apprenticeships, future career options and specific application requirements.

Like last year, some visitors of the Training Day may carry home more than just information: a Smartphone, two tickets for an FC Bayern home match including the bus trip and five tickets to the Prokart Raceland Kart racing track are waiting for a lucky winner. Interesting bonus: there are several “trial traineeships” to be won!

In 2015, Gerresheimer Regensburg will again offer professional apprenticeships and combined training and degree programs for about thirty applicants. Deadline for applications is 17 October, 2014.
