Intern (Financial Accounting) and working student (Human Resources)
"Every day without a smile is a wasted day."
With Gerresheimer since: 2011
Educational qualification: Business Administration Degree
As a student of business administration I completed my mandatory internship in the Financial Accounting department at Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH between September 2011 and January 2012. I’ve been a working student in Gerresheimer Regensburg’s Human Resources department since February 2012.
I decided to apply for a working student position because I wanted to be part of a successful international organization in our region. During my internship I realized that I wanted to stay at Gerresheimer for longer than one semester. The great working atmosphere there and the fact that I was very interested in the medical plastics sector were also key factors in my decision.
My work has been very interesting and useful for my degree up to now. It’s provided me with valuable experience that helped me to decide on my degree specialization. My regular duties involve supporting the HR team, so I’m involved in projects that give me practical experience.
It’s very motivating that, despite my student status, I am treated as a full-time member of staff and I get assigned to some very challenging and interesting projects. People trust me and I have the opportunity to play an active role in the company‘s day to day business.
I hope to stay on until I get my bachelor degree and while I study for my master degree. If there’s a career opening for me at Gerresheimer when I graduate I’ll definitely take it so that I can stay on here.
