Düsseldorf, March 20, 2019. On March 28, Gerresheimer plants will open their doors to the participants of Girls' Day 2019. For the whole day, schoolgirls from the 5th class and above will have the opportunity to learn all about the technical career pathways they could follow at Gerresheimer once they finish school. This year, the production sites in Bünde, Essen, Tettau and Wackersdorf are all participating.

“Technology is for women too”, says Alexander Eckert, Global Senior Vice President of Human Resources, explaining that the Gerresheimer plants have been supporting Girls’ Day for years in an effort to inspire girls to choose technical professions.

The variety in the world of work at Gerresheimer is also reflected in the different products: glass containers, ampoules, syringes, plastic products such as inhalers and insulin pens for the pharmaceutical industry, and perfume bottles and cream pots made from glass for cosmetic products are produced in Germany.

Here is what each Gerresheimer site will be organizing on Girls’ Day.
