Düsseldorf/Horšovský Týn, July 17, 2015. The Czech Ministries of Education and Industry & Trade have named Frantisek Toman “Technical Trainer 2015”. In the function of Head of Training Center at Gerresheimer in Horšovský Týn, he is responsible for the vocational training and development of young individuals.
“You need patience and empathy to work with young people,“ said Helmut Schweiger, Managing Director of Gerresheimer Horšovský Týn. Frantisek Toman has both. He started out his career at Gerresheimer in Horšovský Týn as a machine setter in 2006. Soon afterwards he was promoted to the position of Injection Molding Manager for the AstraZeneca project. Since 2012 he has been working with outstanding commitment and success as Head of Training Center. Frantisek loves sharing his knowledge and experience with the trainees. At the same time, his human and professional qualities make him a very popular and respected member of staff.
The award was initiated in December 2014 by the Czech Pospolu Project. It pays tribute to vocational training schemes involving a collaboration between the education and corporate sectors. Gerresheimer Horšovský Týn has been offering this type of vocational training since 2010. It collaborates with the vocational school in Domazlice, which offers a course in plastics and rubber process engineering. It is a sandwich course that has attracted a great deal of interest right from day one. There are currently 38 trainees at Gerresheimer Horšovský Týn.
Back in 2013 Managing Director Helmut Schweiger received the “Bridge Builder / Stavitel mostû" award from the Bavaria Bohemia organization for his engagement in the area of vocational training.
