Quality Process Engineer

Job Description

  • Initiate and manage efforts to align internal specifications and processes with customer quality requirements.
  • Support customer care teams serving PPG customers and assist/resolve critical customer process issues.
  • Reinforce site operations for Continuous Improvement efforts, including process management.
    • Provide hands-on technical support for hot-end and cold-end inspection systems.
    • Perform periodic calibrations and/or verifications of dimensional and cosmetic inspection systems.
  • Provide technical support in Lean SSBB and Quality Systems Management 
  • Support, manage, and execute projects relating to the strategic and operational plans for:
    • Packaging Specification & Quality Alignment Process (PSQA)
    • Escalation process for internal/external quality issues related to product
    • Validation requirements for the business unit
  • Conducts compliance audits to ensure usage of mandatory templates, tools and methodology (DMAIC).
  • Mentors and trains workforce in appropriate tool selection and use based upon best practices identified in the Gerresheimer Management System (GMS)

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree in STEM discipline (preference for Biomedical, Biopharmaceutical, Engineering), or BS/BA Degree < 1yr with sufficient experience with Tubular Glass Vial forming processes.
  • Pharmaceutical packaging / Packaging design experience a plus.
