Assistant Manager Production

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager Production to join our team in Sonipat, India. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities to meet targets and deadlines
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and reduce waste
• Monitor production performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to improve overall team performance
• Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of materials
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend process improvements
• Ensure that set production targets are met and shift rejection level is below set target with OEE at 90%
• Ensure production runs as per SOP with standard validated process parameters with respect to quality
• Oversee proper maintenance of documentation related to production, maintenance by respective technicians and shift in charge
• Enforce cGMP, 5S, GDP, and safety protocols for Mold, Machine, and Manpower on the shop floor without bypassing systems
• Conduct fish bone analysis, Pareto analysis, PDCA, MTBF, and MTTR analysis as needed
• Coordinate with OEM to resolve technical faults and implement solutions
• Lead validation processes for new machines and molds as per SOP
• Develop and implement strategies to improve production line efficiency and reduce costs
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards
• Participate in budget planning and cost control measures for the production department

Qualifications

• B.Tech / CIPET DPMT / BE Mechanical with 10-12 years of experience in production management
• Comprehensive knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
• Extensive experience with IBM Machine ({NAME}, Zhongya, {NAME}), IM Machine (Feromatik Milacron), and Lining Assembly Machine for CT and CR Caps
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for IBM / IM / Lining Assembly Machine / Vision Inspection Systems
• Proficiency in performance monitoring, reporting, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership and stakeholder interaction
• In-depth knowledge of industrial safety standards, cGMP, 5S, and GDP protocols
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
• Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
