Mold Engineer

Job Description

Responsibility for the equipment injection molding tool from the creation of the specification to the evaluation of the tool design, the supervision of the tool production, definition and organization of the optimization phase to the preparation of the customer release and transfer of the equipment into production

• Independent technical management of  changing technical project teams (e.g. from the fields  of tools, measurement and process technology)
• Independent creation of tool specifications
• Main contact person for defined customers and external toolmakers as well as cross-interface communication with e.g. quality managers
• Independent deadline monitoring and deadline responsibility of the tools in the project
• Independent and regular creation and updating of project status reports
• Assistance in updating deadline monitoring tools
• Independent preparation of feasibility analyses
• Support design-for-manufacturing analytics
• Testing of tool design concepts
• Participation in the release of the tool design
• Participation in the initial sampling of injection moulding tools
• Independent plausibility check of measurement reports
• Participation in the tool optimization instruction WOAW and discussion in the technical project team
• Accompaniment of the samples in the optimization phase
• Planning and organisation of the OQ qualification run
• Preparation of the required documents for the validation department
• Participation in optimizations and state-of-the-art technical solutions for injection molding tools

Qualifications

Knowledge acquired within the framework of at least 3 years of technical (technical) university education (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, o cf.) and developed by at least five years of  experience in a comparable position.

This function requires specialist knowledge in the field of injection moulding processes and the design of injection moulding tools.

• Very good knowledge in the design of injection moulding tools
• Very good knowledge in testing tool design in 2D and 3D
• In-depth knowledge in the quality assessment of tooling work
• Good knowledge of qualification requirements in the medical environment
• Good knowledge of documentation preparation (e.g. project documentation, technical reports)
• Good experience in dealing with the support of suppliers and customers and in leading technical project teams
• Good command of written and  spoken English
• Gute IT- User Knowledge (MS-Office, ERP,…)
