Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Order Fulfillment, Forest Grove Plant is directly responsible for optimizing processes to improve customer purchase order processing and enhance the speed and accuracy of on time delivery.  The Manager, Order Fulfillment monitors inventories utilizing systematic procedures to maintain appropriate levels of products, as well as coordinates with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve workflow issues.  The Manager, Order Fulfillment leads activities to ensure product shipments in accordance with customer preferences, adherence to established quality standards, and achievement of cost objectives with respect to profitable growth.   

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs and implements product platform simplification roadmap, identifying assembly and component modularity and re-use to drive customer quality, delivery and speed, while improving profitability and inventory.
  • Formulates and executes end-to-end operations strategy, including supply chain (demand planning, materials planning, inventory management), sourcing, logistics (distribution and transportation), and service (order management, customer support, customer service).
  • Leverages business data and appropriate tools to formulate commercial alternatives, and identifies preferred solutions, which positively impact efforts to achieve the annual operating plan.   
  • Creates partnerships with external vendors, channel partners, and affiliates to support quality, speed, ease, profitability and product assortment..
  • Partners with plant leadership team in the analysis and improvement of site operational key performance indicators, driving enhancements in the supply chain management decision-making process.
  • Proactively identifies operational efficiencies to be realized through the streamlining workflows and engages operational area leaders to actualize opportunities; and serves as change agent to champion continuous improvement.        
  • Conducts variance analysis of actual performance to budget and forecasts, including recommendation of adjustments that increase probability of goal achievement.  
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by maintaining awareness of existing and new legislation, and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Devises budgets and approves expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets..
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree in either Business or Finance preferred.
  • Notable supply chain management accomplishments within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Life Sciences or Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Substantial experience with the supply chain management life cycle, preferably within either the Life Sciences or Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industries.       
  • Detailed knowledge of vendor relationship management tools to improve project execution and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to hear the Voice of the Customer and align feedback with Company initiatives and goals.
  • Displayed proficiency in navigating ambiguous environments, developing existing and new markets, and achieving revenue targets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 20%.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of independence.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply the Gerresheimer Management System.
  • Capable of autonomous work in dynamic business environments.
