Job Description

The Project Controller will function as a business partner with the Project Manager to proactively manage and control the financial aspects of the Morganton facility expansion project. Responsibilities include financial & non-financial reporting, project analysis, budgeting/scheduling and suggesting and managing change in the project processes.

Qualifications

  • Must display strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented team leader who can consistently meet deadlines and possess the ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to perform complex analysis and turn this into clear guidance
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse work group of vendors, executive managers, subcontractors, consultants and other professionals

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum 2 years relevant job experience with an emphasis on financial reporting
  • Advanced ERP (preferably SAP) skills and high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Additional Information

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including other duties as may be assigned):

  • Prepare and manage all of the financial aspects of the project including: project milestones, forecasting project goals and completion, budget to actual analysis and monitoring of timelines
  • Prepare both internal and external financial and operational reporting, minutes, etc. related to the project
  • Prepare analysis of step-by-step project management processes on project  efficiency and key performance indicators
  • Assist with selecting, training and overseeing project team members
