Senior Financial Accountant

Job Description

Provide general accounting support to the business.
Ensure accuracy of financial statements following US GAAP and IFRS rules and guidelines. Maintain compliance with SOX reporting requirements.
Oversee general accounting operations and verify financial transactions
Month-end closing tasks including journal entries, reconciliations and subledger processing
Financial statement results reporting and analysis
Assist with tax and audit requests
Provide technical accounting guidance and advice as needed
Other duties as required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and previous work experience of 5+ years in related field of study.
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and experience with IFRS
CPA preferred, but not required
Strong communication skills and attention to details
Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Inventory costing experience
Advanced level of knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience a plus
