Our goal is for 100% of our strategic suppliers to recognize our Gerresheimer Supplier Code of Conduct by 2024.
Our approach
We expect sustainable business practices from our suppliers and have formulated our expectations and requirements in our Supplier Code of Conduct. This obliges our suppliers to comply with our principles of corporate responsibility. It is based on international standards such as the principles of the UN Global Compact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO Core Labor Standards and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and includes
Ethics,
labor and human rights,
health and occupational safety and
environmental protection.
The Supplier Code of Conduct is available on our website in 12 languages.
At the end of the 2023 financial year, 65% of our strategic suppliers had given written assurance of compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct.
As Gerresheimer, we are also committed to respecting internationally recognized human rights standards and promoting environmentally sound and responsible business practices in our business activities and along our value chain.
The Policy Statement of Gerresheimer published in 2023 describes the processes with which we fulfill our corporate due diligence obligations in dealing with human rights and environmental risks in accordance with section 6 (2) of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz - LkSG).
