Regensburg/Wackersdorf/Pfreimd, May 04, 2021 All Gerresheimer sites have been successfully training their own junior staff for decades. Last year, Gerresheimer Medical Systems was already proud to present Thomas Bayer among its ranks as the national winner with his apprenticeship as a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology. This year Gerresheimer is delighted to have two chamber winners. Robert Artmann completed his training as a process mechanic for glass technology and Lukas Winkler his training as a tool maker with flying colors. This speaks well for the two future colleagues at Gerresheimer Medical Systems, but also for the team which trains and supports the apprentices. Best in Chamber" is the term used to describe the best apprentices in the professions in the respective chamber of industry and commerce region.
"We always have good trainees, but some of them show quite extraordinary performance. We congratulate our chamber winners from the bottom of our hearts," says Nicole Heimann, Head of Global Training Center in HR. Currently, 50 apprentices and 15 dual students are learning their trade at Gerresheimer Medical Systems.
In the winter examination in January 2021, Gerresheimer provided the chamber best tool mechanic and process mechanic glass technology in the Upper Palatinate region. The chamber best glass technology is very special for the company because it is the first apprentice in this profession. For the first time, the company also cooperated for this with a sister company, Gerresheimer Tettau GmbH in Upper Franconia, which, as a glassworks, has a long tradition of training specialists in glass technology. The apprentice had to spend a total of four weeks in Tettau, where he also learned the typical work in a glassworks... I am very grateful to my colleagues in Tettau for the warm welcome and excellent support they gave our junior staff and for imparting to them all the knowledge that, in addition to their personal learning achievements, led to such a successful final examination."
And it gets even better! Two dual students and nine trainees have also successfully passed their exams. The dual students will continue to focus on their studies. The apprentices who have been taken on will work for the company in the future. It is pleasing to note that six junior employees were able to complete their training with the grade "very good". The rest came away with a "B".

During the apprenticeship, they receive optimum support in theory and practice and are prepared for the upcoming exams.
