The Chicago Heights plant produces moulded Type I flint glass. This includes serum bottles (finishes 13/16.5/20/32 mm), bottles with screw caps (various finishes), IV bottles (finishes 28/32 mm) and various other bottles made of moulded glass.
Chicago Heights type I flint glass has a higher thermal expansion than type II and III glass and is more resistant to chemical attack providing a more stable package. We are also capable of delivering virtually flawless glass through our Japanese Pharmacopoeia level sorting operation.
