Community engagement – Being a committed community member

For us it is important to consider not only economic but also social concerns as a benchmark for our actions. That is why we advocate the goals of sustainable development in the local communities in which we operate.

We take our company mission “Innovate and deliver for a better life every day” serious and assume our social responsibility in the immediate communities of our sites.

Our target

We have incorporated this aspiration into a measurable target: By 2023, 100% of our sites will annually engage in their local communities focusing on ‘education’ or ‘health and well-being’.

With this goal, we aim to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular Goals 3 – Good Health and Well-Being and 4 – Quality Education.

Our approach

Many sites have been committed to these focus areas for many years. With our goal, we have now made our approach binding for all sites.  We will further detail out engagement criteria to ensure that our sites select targeted projects that will have a positive long-term impact and contribute to our commitment.
