Job Description

As a highly skilled software project leader, you are part of the embedded software team

  • Project management for the embedded software within interdisciplinary projects
  • Conception, design, development, and verification of safety critical real-time embedded systems software
  • Lead the embedded software team in scope of specific projects. Participate in and supervise each stage of the project
  • Establish software project planning, controlling and management in a matrix organization in close coordination with the overall project manager, other part-project leaders and line managers
  • Ensure the deadline, cost and quality goals as well as the fulfilment of the technical project specifications
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
  • Agile software development: management of the backlog for the assigned project
  • Coordination of software development and tests during all project phases
  • Coordination of external development partners
  • Align Software development with Quality, Risk and Regulatory activities
  • Part of an Agile interdisciplinary project team – System Engineering, Electronics, Mechanics, Embedded software, Application software
  • Collaborate closely with the development team, business, and customers
  • Discuss potential projects and their parameters with clients, executives, and software developers.
  • Ensure highest quality standards during the entire product life cycle in the context of a regulated medical device development process

Qualifications

  • University degree (MSc) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering FH / Uni / ETH or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in development of embedded software in C / C++ for low-power embedded devices
  • Experience in Software project management in an agile environment
  • Proven experience in project management and software development
  • Good working knowledge of software project estimation techniques
  • Experience in coordination of external development partners
  • Experience in software project management for medical devices (IEC 62304 ) or other safety critical devices is preferred
  • Experience in wireless technology (BLE) and medical device connectivity is an advantage
  • Experience in connected device cybersecurity is an advantage
  • Experience with Agile development is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills
  • Solution-oriented, communicative team player with initiative
  • Very good oral and written language skills in English, German is an advantage
