Production Manager Small Batch Manufacturing (m/f/d)

Job Description

  • Management and control of the Small Batch Production organization (SBP) with responsibility for results and disciplinary leadership of all employees as well as reporting to the site management
  • Responsible for pilot production (injection molding and assembly) in terms of cost, quality and schedule
  • Work equipment planning / resource planning
  • Implementation and fulfillment of group goals
  • Ensure effective communication to the customer as well as to the internal project team.
  • Ensuring up-to-date and audit-compliant production documentation
  • -        Responsibility for the technical support of the product range of all projects in the Small Batch Production area over the entire product life cycle (internal/external)
  • Partially taking over the role of the production side member in the project core team yourself
  • Personnel management with all included individual tasks (initiate disciplinary measures, appraisal of employees, personnel development, etc.)
  • Proactive collaboration with internal and external interfaces (e.g. plant management, project, quality, HR, customers) and sister plants
  • Responsible for continuous improvement (technologies and work organization) as well as coordination and implementation of GMS activities
  • KPI responsibility and ensuring reporting
  • Ensure onboarding, appraisal and development of subordinate employees
  • Ensuring the smooth deployment of staff based on vacation and additional shift planning
  • Ensure safety and hygiene briefings are conducted at least annually and as required
  • Ensuring compliance with and enforcement of internal regulations (e.g. company agreement or collective agreement)
  • Coordinating production processes in MES and SAP
  • Monitoring and checking the PMF and the master data stored in SAP
  • Set-up and maintenance of the machine park
  • Monitoring and optimization of process data and material / energy supply as well as machinery and its maintenance
  • Coordination and communication with the customer

Qualifications

  • Knowledge as acquired in the course of at least 3 years of technical (specialist) university studies (e.g. mechanical engineering, production and automation technology) and extended by means of additional qualifications in the production and management environment.
  • The function requires at least 7 years of experience in a comparable function with personnel and budget responsibility.
  • Manufacturing process injection molding and assembly
  • Planning and control of a production department
  • Creation and presentation of management level SBP KPIs (dashboard)
  • Business administration skills
