Job Description
As a member of the Human Resources team, this position will ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s employee benefits, provide timely and accurate financial information; be the subject matter expert in benefit offerings, enrollments and legal compliance (COBRA, DOL and FMLA, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, administer, maintain and audit various employee benefit programs. (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, COBRA, FMLA, Disability and other benefit offerings.)
- Assist employees on the proper use of their benefits.
- Coordinate and assist in annual open enrollment.
- Conduct benefit portion of new hire orientation.
- Prepare and provide annual employee benefit statements.
Qualifications
- Requires 5 - 7 years of working knowledge with benefits administration and working with Benefit providers.
- Stay abreast of current US laws and regulations.
- Experience with annual regulatory audits including 5500 filings.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state state regulations.
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of benefits administration.
- Strong work ethic and a team player.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and information.
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Skills in organizing, multi-tasking, and prioritizing.
