Mechatronics Fitter Apprentice
"With hard work and commitment you can achieve anything you want!"
With Gerresheimer since: 2011
I gained my university entrance qualification in 2011 and started my apprenticeship straight afterwards in September.
Before my apprenticeship I’d already done two internships at Gerresheimer AG and it was during this time that I got interested in the occupation of mechatronics fitter. The Gerresheimer Group is a pioneer in the field of injection moulding in the medical plastics sector and it has an excellent reputation as a training company. That’s why it didn’t take me long to decide that I’d like to do a mechatronics fitter apprenticeship there.
My work at the company includes learning about electrics and pneumatics, programming and wiring hard wired controls and control unit memory programming.
The work atmosphere is very positive and my colleagues are very friendly. It’s just how I imagined it would be!
One of the highlights of my apprenticeship to date has been a photo shoot for the new company brochures and pamphlets. The apprentices in their first year were used as a motif representing the company. It was a fantastic day for everyone involved.
I’m looking forward to finishing my apprenticeship and starting a master craftsman or degree course and I hope Gerresheimer will support me.
