"If you keep doing the same things today that you did yesterday you’ll still be in the same place tomorrow."
With Gerresheimer since: 2012
Educational qualification: Industrial Engineering Degree
I enrolled on an industrial engineering degree course at the Technical University of Dortmund in 2006 and I’ll be graduating in summer 2012 after writing my dissertation at Gerresheimer Essen GmbH.
In 2011 I was able to gain an interesting insight into the glass industry’s production processes in a six month internship at Gerresheimer Essen GmbH. I was particularly impressed by the Gerresheimer Group’s philosophy when I was in the process of selecting a suitable internship provider because I knew it would enable me to apply my knowledge in the coordination of economic efficiency with the use of environmentally friendly resources.
The Gerresheimer Group has a sustainable business strategy and it contributes to the protection of the environment and human health by manufacturing recyclable pharmaceutical packaging products. I’m interested to discover which methods are used to achieve the business strategy objectives in production and quality assurance, which is why I am writing my dissertation on the subject of production control. I’m developing an empirical key performance ratio system which makes production process efficiency measurable and maps the cause-effect relationships between performance parameters.
All departments and colleagues have been very friendly and supportive. When my dissertation is finished I intend to join a medium-sized company with work methods, a work environment and a corporate philosophy that is just as impressive as Gerresheimer Essen GmbH’s.
