Safety and reliability through high precision
Sensile Medical is a leader in advanced micro pump technology, developing a broad range of customer specific platforms for drug delivery and dosing solutions.
Our wearable on-body infusor are designed to enable small or large volume subcutaneous delivery of modern pharmaceutical and biotechnological products for self-administration by patients.
Micro volumetric rotary piston pump
– The SenseCore Technology
Sensile Medical has developed a novel micro pump which forms the heart of its large volume infusors.
Accuracy
Inherent in the design
Few, simple and precise plastic components lead to better tolerance stack-ups. SensCore pumps are highly accurate thanks to our high-end micro molders technology. Using state-of-the-art drive mechanisms, Sensile Medical is able to offer a wide range of exact flow rates, delivery volumes and durations, or various patterns of drug administration rates.
Sustainability
Reusable and disposable concept
Our medical devices may utilize a combined concept, comprising a disposable and a reusable component. This minimizes waste, reduces therapy costs and TCO of Healthcare Systems. All elements that come into contact with the drug or the patient are Steril-packed and fully-disposable, while the Reusable, including the motor, re-chargeable battery and electronics, can be used many times.
Primary Packaging
Use standard vial or cartridges as Primary Packaging
Primary packaging is crucial for the on-body infusor. We offer primary packaging as a one-stop-shop solution in our company. Depending on the treatment and patient, the device is prefilled or preloaded with a special or standard cartridge. For the on-body infusor, we use standard vials to transfer the medication from the vial into an internal device reservoir before the patient uses the device. We provide all primary packaging services from development to fill & finish.
Scalability
The SensCore Technology can be adjusted according to the needs of the customer
The pharmaceutical drug and therapies require a range of different delivery volumes and delivery profiles. The SensCore technology in combination with software and electronics allows full control over the delivery pattern. The technology has a dynamic range that spans a range from 50 μl over 24 hours to 5 ml per minute.
Connectivity
Connect to the pump using wireless technologies such as Bluetooth® interface
The Bluetooth® wireless connection to regular smartphones and computers enables easy integration of the pump device into mobile apps and other digital services. It allows for easy configuration of therapy, convenient monitoring of ongoing therapy and remote control of therapy via a mobile app in real time.
Cybersecurity
Protection of the wireless communication and the patient data
The security of the wireless connection is key as cybersecurity risks for connected medical devices are increasing continuously. We use state-of-the-art technologies to ensure the security of the wireless communication and to protect the patient’s therapy records.
Safety
Design inherent free-flow prevention
The valve structure in the SensCore pump mechanism ensures that at any given time only one valve is open. When the pump is stopped (inactive), both valves are closed at the same time. This feature allows for double safety against free flow. This proven track record is essential for a safe and reliable device function; it is the core of our accurate and precise drug delivery technology.

Cost efficiency
Everything is made as simple as possible
The SensCore Pump Technology consists of only two plastic parts. This allows us to minimize the effects of tolerance chains and the resulting influence on dosing accuracy. Additionally, fewer components lead to very cost-efficient device and platform solutions. Based on these features, we can offer very attractive solutions for a device platform.
