Job Description
At our Technical Competence Center in Dongguan City, China, we are seeking a Head of Technical Competence Center (m/f/d) who will be responsible for core departments including Project Management, Injection Molding, Measuring Technology, Mold Optimization, and Mold Purchasing.
In this role, you will drive technical development and innovation in a dynamic environment and be part of shaping the future of Technical Competence Center in Dongguan City in terms of technology and processes.
Responsibilities
- Development of new business, starting with purchasing order up to the transfer to production site including some interface scope to sales and production plants
- People management in collaboration with local Human Resources
- Guide and coordinate project and mold engineering teams
- Support and oversee the design, optimization, and validation of molds and equipment
- Coordinate of the medical device R&D projects throughout the full project lifecycle
- Company representation (customer, government, supplier, etc.)
- Responsible for the local TCC facility infrastructure (IT, maintenance) and external suppliers
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or a related field
- Several years of experience in a leadership position in technical development or mold engineering
- Proficient in project management and team leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German and Chinese is advantageous
- Independent, proactive work ethic with strong problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel internationally
