Job Description

  • Manage projects for the development of innovative Medical Devices in the field of Liquid Drug Delivery (Combination Products)
  • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., Mechanics, Electronics, Software, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Industrialization, etc.) and manage multiple projects, varying in size and complexity.
  • Develop and implement overall project plan, including schedule, resource allocation, cost and monitor progress against business key objectives and project’s goals.
  • Document key information, decisions, actions, issues, scope changes, resources, timelines, and milestones and ensure project management elements and tracking systems are up-to-date
  • Guide the preparation and lead the phase/gates reviews, document meeting minutes, applying company QMS and Product Development Process
  • Required to establish a high performance culture by fostering personal accountability and commitment to results, and coach and mentor Core Team members to ensure proper preparation, realistic planning and rigorous execution and monitoring of the project.
  • Ensure close coordination with international customers and external development and manufacturing partners
  • Facilitate project workshops like schedule compression exercises, technical issues problem solving, RCA
  • Improve project management phase gate process and actively supports business process improvements, align with all stakeholders and deploy/train the organization accordingly
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher education in scientific or technical field
  • Project Management certification preferred, Waterfall and Agile (i.e. PMI-PMP or IPMA; SCRUM or SAFe)
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in leading multifunctional project teams in a global matrix organization
  • At least 5 years of Medical Device Industry experience (e.g. 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, MDD, MDR 2017/745)
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Medical Device projects from initiation to launch, preferably in the field of parenteral delivery systems (e.g. prefilled auto-injectors, patch pumps)
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team as an individual contributor in a fast paced environment
  • Strong negotiation skills in dealing with customers, suppliers and service providers 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English is required, knowledge of German preferred
  • Willingness to travel approx 15%
