Demand for different syringe systems has increased vastly as a result of the increasingly complex and varied requirements posed by the healthcare market - especially physicians and patients - to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. ClearJect brand syringes are transparent, pre-fillable plastic syringe systems made of cyclic olefin polymer (COP) that have excellent oxygen and steam barrier properties They are suitable for particularly sensitive parenteral drugs and are currently used as the primary packaging for biopharmaceuticals and hyaluronic acid. These syringe systems are sterilized as TasPackTM (Taisei Advanced Sterile Packaging) and supplied as ready-to-use products.
Gerresheimer manufactures glass pre-fillable syringes as bulk or ready-to-fill products. Gx RTF syringes are delivered to the pharma industry in a sterile and completely pre-assembled state. Baked-on siliconization is optional. Customers can have the syringes printed and fitted with diverse closures and Gerresheimer also offers accessories such as backstops.
